4x4 for six people
Has anyone rented a 4 wheel drive vehicle that sleeps six? If so with who?
Has anyone rented from Orbitcostarica.com? They were quick with a quote, but I'm not sure about their reliability.
We will be driving from SJO to Dominical. If anyone has done that trip I would be interested in knowing if it way easy, good roads, etc. I do expect it will take about 3-31/2 hours.

Sitting or sleeping? Not sure I would rec any cars for sleeping If you take the new 27 to the Costanera Sur, 3.5 hours sounds about right. Great road. I would look into Solid Rental cars, they have an office near the airport plus one in Dominical. Have used them twice and very satisfied.

We looked into a 4x4 van, and didn't find anything. You will want a 4x4 for the Dominical area. We rented a Mitsubishi Montero for our group of 7 from Solid. Everyone packed lightly and we brought some straps to tie a couple of the suitcases to the roof. Solid Car Rental was great.

c, I read your post saying that you were going to sleep in your car, so that's why I suggested getting a van, but now I'm thinking that was just a typo on your part. I don't believe van's come in 4X4. Are you really sleeping in your car?
