zurich hotel

I am flying into Zurich on December 19, staying one night on my way to St. Moritz. I was told the hotel Wellenberg is lovely and in a nice area "the Niederdorfstrasse" which is close to the train station which will make it easy for my ride the next morning to St Moritz. Does anyone know this hotel. Also what is the best way to the hotel from the airport

As a general thought, "the best way" from the airport into city center would be to take a train from the airport rail station and, if necessary walk to the hotel from the main train station, or use a tram or a taxi.

The following link is a good place to compare and research hotels in Switzerland.

I had no luck finding your "Niederorfstrasse" though there are hotels located on the Niederorfstrasse.

That is because it is spelled "Niederdorfstrasse", which the OP correctly used.

The train station is underneath the airport terminal - take a train to Zurich Bahnhof. If you are traveling light, you can probably walk from the train station to the hotel. Otherwise, take a taxi.

Yes, I left out the "d". Thanks to Travelnut's observation, I can now clarify that "Niederdorfstrasse" also does not appear in the 2,500 hotels on the Swiss Hotel Guide, but that there are hotels on that street.

Well, I can see how you'd be confused, as my post above was quite messed up. I was in fact, searching on the street rather than the name. Duh, duh, duh. Sorry for wasting anyone's time. The website for the Hotel Wellenberg appears below.

Why, time spent on Fodor's Forum is never 'wasted time'...
