Zermatt - an embarrassing question
Hello, I am a little embarrassed to post this question but as I have not been able to find the answer via google here goes. Does anyone know if hairdressers in Zermatt have late opening hours? By the time we get there I will need to go but can't bear the thought of wasting precious daylight hours.
Any recommendations appreciated.
After all the months of planning I can't believe we will soon be winging our way to begin our long trip. Thank you for your help.

Your question is totally reasonable. Here are the general rules:
Hairdressers is Switzerland ("coiffeur") are generally closed on Sunday and Monday.
On weekdays they are open until 18:30, some until 19:00, some maybe later. On Saturdays, they close earlier.
Reservations are mandatory - usually reservations by phone.
Most coiffeurs are small businesses and do not have websites. You may have to call them on the phone.
Here is what I found for Zermatt:
http://www.coiffeur-zermatt.ch/de (open until 18:30)
https://www.facebook.com/Coiffeur-An...0150186389657/ (open until 19:00)
http://www.coiffure-bijou-zermatt.ch/ (no opening hours)

Actually, reservations aren't always mandatory but will guarantee you a spot. There are some places like Gidor that exist on walk-ins. There are also some places that are open on Mondays.
Zermatt is special because of its tourism. Contact the tourist office for more information.

You are welcome.
It took me three minutes. But you need to speak German to do it. And you have to know that in Switzerland hairdresser is not "Friseur" but "coiffeur". But this is the reason why this forum exists.
Enjoy your trip!
