Thanks for all the good advice, happytotravel. I did a similar split trip to Rome and Paris. First time to Rome and it wasn't that we thought Rome was better than Paris, but we just didn't have time in either place to relax and enjoy ourselves. Last year we went to Rome alone and had a great time. 2010 is the year for Paris. We have been there many times and never get tired of it.
