near Hampstead and it's thriving weekend scene.>>>

That's the first time I've heard what goes on on Hampstead Heath called "thriving".

PQ may be mixing up different walks. But the white emulsion does affect ones memory. Kenwood is on Hampstead Heath and near Parliament Hill which provides amazing views across the whole city. Primrose Hill also has terrific views - but it is next to Regents Park.

PQ- I have been to Kenwood House. However, I'm considering visiting 2 Willow Road and Fenton House in Hampstead if time allows. Both are National Trust properties.

Doesn't look like I can fit in 2 Willow Road or Fenton House into my trip this time - unless I decide not to go to Oxford on a daytrip. Their limited opening hours is an issue.

I saw a National Trust TV show on 2 Willow Road. Somewhat interesting but I felt like I saw enough on TV and don't HAVE to go.
