What is moderate? Very subjective.
Try www.venere.com and consider location first.

We always stay at the Hotel Canada in Rome. We've been there approximately 10 times and it has always been a pleasant stay. It's not as conveniently located as some, about six blocks from Termini but reasonable rates around €138 a night for a double. Check Best Western for availabilty.

If this hotel were located in a more touristy area, it would be at least double what they charge. Very nice.

I stayed at the Marriott Grand Flora and the Westin Excelsior, both on Via Venetto and both extremely nice. I was staying there on points in both cases so I can't comment on price. Location was great and the properties were both superb. If pressed, I'd pick the Marriott. One of the reasons is the staff. It seemed the Excelsior was more business travel oriented, and the bar was nicer in the Flora.

The Grand Hotel Beverly Hills is frequently used by tour groups. It is not in a central location. Traveler reviews on Tripadvisor.com seem to be unfavorable.

we have stayed at the hotel des artistes. it has a web site, the staff is great and they have many rooms some with bath and some shared bath. it has a great rooftop garden for morning cappucinos and evening wine guzzling. i highly recomment it.

Good evening, ccarroga Have used the Internaziionale and the DeLa Ville in past years, both atop the Spanish Steps
on the via Sistina, very satisified with both, however this trip used the HOTEL PIAZZA DI SPAGNA, via Mario de'Fiori, 61 located a block from the Bottom of the Spanish Steps. see www.hotelpiazzadispagna.it/ it is a three star unit with 17 units and across the street from a most wonderful
ristorante "Ristorante 34".. Resvn a must, two seatings a night at 730 AND
930...very reasonable....

Good evening, again The HOTEL BEVERLY HILLS is located about 300 m
from the northeast end of the Villa
Borghese Gardens, 1 km NE of the North end of the Via Veneto and about 3 km from Forum about the same to the Pza Navona, not really a centrally located
for walking... Richard of LaGrange Park, Il..
