YOUR favorite Florence discovery

We all love looking at the David or grabbing a gelato at Vivoli, but what is your favorite unique Florence discovery that everyone should know about?

Mine are buying marble fruit at Ducci, buying Florentine gold rings for our 20th anniversary at Evolution of Gold on the PV, and the Ferragamo shoe museum. Let's hear from all you lovers of Florence!

Trust me on this one: It's just the best pasticceria in all of Italy, maybe in the whole world. It's in the Santa Croce area, and I'll be there soon, standing shoulder to shoulder with Florentines on their way to work. I'll be drinking cappucino and savoring Patrizio's warm cremini. Ahh, life is good.

I just happened to be visiting San Lorenzo church, after visiting the Medici chapel, and at that precise time they were having a free concert with a group that played traditional Italian instruments.

Enjoying various wines with local Florentines and our wonderful bartender, Valentine, at Osteria del Agnolo on Borgo San Lorenzo.

Enjoying peace and quiet over the city of Florence from the viewpoint up via San Francisco in Fiesole.
