You Heard It Here First: LUSH is open in SF!

Here's the news Lush afficionados in CA have been eagerly awaiting. Lush opened its first US store today at 240 Powell St. (near Union Square) in San Francisco. See you there!

I had a bomb bath 5 straight nights while I was in London over the last week. What a relaxing way to relieve the "walk too far/scrunched tube rides/too many museums" travel syndrome. But I didn't bring any home because in the past they broke apart in my carry on. Now they are only 90 miles away instead of 5500 miles!

I'll be in SF next week staying 2 blocks from the store. Lush will be my first stop after tea at the St Francis. Hooray!

some clarifications:
lush is a canadian company.
it makes a yummy line of bath supplies, like soaps, the ever-loved bath bombs, shampoos, etc etc.
it has tons of stores in europe and people like madonna and other celebs are always buying lush stuff.
i believe that the sf store is the first one opened in the us. it has a lot of us affectionados (like myself) who either buy from the catalog or buy it in europe or canada.

If you haven't tried it, don't knock it

I'll still be heading to Covent Garden for mine!

Janis, I brought back TONS in October. Carried them on the plane and just had a little flaking, but no breakage.

I always make 2 stops at the Covent Garden Lush shop. Once on my first day in town to get things to soothe me while in London and the other to get little treasures to bring back home.
The Lush goodies travel well in checked luggage. Just wrap your scarves, socks, or t-shirts around them for a bit of cushioning.

Hey, xxxxx. I posted on both the Europe and US boards. The post was deleted from the US board, not this one. It's been bouncing around here since it was originally posted. I retitled (Attention San Francisco Shoppers) and reposted over on the US board, thinking that taking the name Lush out of the title might have some effect. It's tough staying a step ahead of the censors!

My husband can smell the LUSH 2 blocks away--we were On Regent street and he said I can smell it coming up on the right-and it wa 1 block away--amazing--I usually hit that one cuz the one at Covent Garden is so packed all the time--I spend about 20 pounds at least every time--I was sad cuz they stopped making Queen of Hearts it was great face soap--but if you like me try the Fresh farmacy, its almost a nice.
