world snooker championships - anyone else watching?

Flanner - I can only remember Pot Black being in colour - perhaps my dad used to watch it before we got a colour TV in about 1972 [for a FA cup final I recall] but I don't remember it.
I'm not sure that all the snooker halls have disappeared - when returning DS to uni only 4-5 years ago, we came across a huge snooker hall in Aberystwyth of all places, on the pier.
And all those working class lads have to learn to play somewhere!

Pot black was very popular in Australia - i remember lots watching and talking about it. All his friends who had misspent teenage years in snooke halls loved it. It was in black and white- color tv didn't come here until 1975.

we've been watching but not with any great excitement, though there have been some quite close matches. pleased that Marco Fu won - he's such a nice chap.
just waiting for Ronnie to get back on the table really, like most of the audience, I suspect.
