Wigmore Hall question

I am hoping to attend the following concert at 11:30 am at Wigmore Hall, but it is sold out. The date is January 21.

http://www.wigmore-hall.org.uk/conce...ls.cfm?e=33580

Any ideas on if it is possible to get a ticket from returns? How common is this?

This concert is one of the 11:30 ones that includes a drink after. Where is the drink done?

Thanks.

Have you contacted the box office like the website says? They are best to advise you on the likelihood of returns and whether there is a waiting list or a particular time to try on the day.

There is a bar underneath the hall, so the coffee may well be there, alternatively they could serve it in the ground floor lobby.

Thanks; I need to wait until I get back to the UK in mid next week before I can call. I was just kind of curious if others have gotten in on returns. I suppose it depends on the concert.

If you want to contact them earlier, if you go to the online booking section of their website they give a box office email address.

I have only attended the Sunday morning coffee/sherry concerts at Wigmore Hall twice in my life, most recently this past October. In both cases, I was able to get a return.

The drinks are served in the lobby -- very, very crowded. You have to turn in your ticket stub to get a glass of sherry; I guess they want to limit it to one drink. I don't think that is the case with coffee.

Thanks. I'd probably opt for the sherry. It's done after the concert, right?

Oh - I do hope you can get a ticket. The Sunday morning concerts are wonderful - and besides the coffee/sherry, you can go into the green room to talk w/ the artists. Plus there is a cafe at the Wigmore that is open for on sundays for a light lunch after the concerts
