Anybody know where I can get hold of a 2000-2001 schedule for the Wiener Staatsoper -- the Vienna State Opera?? <BR>I found the web page at: <BR>http://www.wiener-staatsoper.at/ <BR>But no amount of clicking that I can do brings up any type of schedule for an opera performance. I can get everything else, including ticket prices! But no dates and no operas on those dates!!

I finally ran down a schedule, but at a rather obscure place. I think Hotbot got me there, and for the life of me, I cannot remember the site. <BR>Strange that the official site <BR>www.wiener-staatsoper.at is either not up or it gives no data when the date <BR>is clicked on. After all of the commotion, there is not a performance I am interested in during the time I am in Vienna. Fortuntely, the Volksoper is doing Die Fledermaus and I secured tickets, I think!!

The schedule for the Vienna State Opera, Wiener Staatsoper, is indeed available at the official web site: <BR>www.wiener-staatsoper.at. <BR>For some reason my normal provider refused to make the connection properly. I just recently tried one of these "free services" and lo and behold, it made the connection quite quickly and nicely using the same browser -- Netscape 4.72. I have yet to receive a plausible technical answer to the question: why would not my normal provider make contact and the free service did? You mean I get more for free than I do for paying a fee?? <BR>At any rate, thanks to those of you who responded with advice. I wish someone now would offer a good technical answer for the failure of my normal channel of communication to access the Vienna State Opera site. When you access this site with a proper connection, it gives a lot of helpful information. Actually, it is one of the better sites around, and it is in English as well as German.
