I love New York City, it's the best! There, I've said it. I have lived 45 mins from there all of my life. I go into "the city" frequently and I think it is the greatest city to return to. Thanks to Adam for his comments about the USA too. <BR>My close second is definately Paris. I truly cannot get enough of the place. I think if everything was closed up I would still just love walking the streets and people watching. I love the French people! <BR> London is my close third because of the British people mainly, they seem to love us Americans. <BR>I think Venice however, was the most interesting city I have ever seen. How does one build a city on the water? <BR>I love to do quick weekends to the places I have been to already and take a week or two to venture out to some new city.

I go back because there is absolutely no way you can experience everything in a place the first time. <BR> <BR>I have been to London over 10 times and I still haven't been to some of the museums, parks or seen enough theatre there that I want to see. <BR> <BR>Also as we mature, we look at places differently. As a high school graduation present, I was given a "if this is Tuesday, it must be Belgium" type tour. On the tour, I visited Paris and frankly didn't like it (20 American teenagers overwhelmed the Parisians!). However, 20 years later I went back to Paris and the city was very much the same but I was different and my perspective and enjoyment of Paris very different. <BR> <BR>I also fell in love with Italy (and especially Venice so much so that I took friends back with me the next year). In fact, I'm trying to figure out how to get badk there next year (this year is Wales and Ireland). <BR> <BR>Deb

I notice now that whenever I hear someone mention someplace I've been to or see something on television that mentions Paris, Lucerne or anwhere I have been, my attention is caught immediately. When I go to the video store and see anything with the words "Paris" or "French," I have to rent it. After becoming so tuned into a place and <BR>continually reading, talking, or watching movies set in these areas, it is inevitable that I feel a longing to return to these places. I want to see areas I missed, look more closely at things I know more about now than I did then, and I just want another look at something I really admired before.
