Flying from SFO to Rome FCO via ORD (Chicago) and back FCO-NYC-SFO around $1350 upgradeable economy plus and I'm using a friend's 1K upgrades.
Just confirmed upgrade to Biz class on the ORD-FCO leg and hoping like h#ll I get the remaining 3 upgrades confirmed.
Booked about 6-8 weeks ago.

Booked in late May. Fresno, CA to Madrid, Return is Barcelona to Fresno. American
$1,178 per. Was a thread here not too long ago about air fares to Spain being more expensive than other parts of Europe. Made me feel a little better.

I will be using the following itinerary:
Departing Doha Qatar (DOH)
3 Sept 2010 @ 1:30 am
Arriving Rome (FCO) 3 Sept @ 6:30am
on Qatar Airways
Departing Rome FCO on 26 Sept @ 12:30pm
Arriving Doha Qatar @ 8:45pm
I paid $980 for a fully refundable and changeable ticket without any fees. I then upgraded using miles to a business class ticket.
My friend is arriving on the following Itinerary:
Depart on 3 Sept - from Washington Dulles (IAD)
10pm on Air France to Pairs(CDG)
Arrive 11:30am on 4 Sept
Depart Paris @ 12:45pm on Air France
Arrive Bologna (BLQ) @ 2:25pm
Depart Rome (FCO) on 15 September
1pm flight to Paris (CDG) on Air France
arrives 3pm
Departs CDG @ 4:40pm on Air France
Arrives Washington Dulles 7pm
Total paid $741 for this ticket for her.
I booked both flights on 15 May.

Tampa to Frankfurt return Venice to Tampa
US Air
Sept 17 to Oct 2
approx $1000 per person - most I've paid in 6 years. Purchased in April.
Have a non-refundable coach on the way over...had to buy the next level up for the trip back because nrc was sold out.
Friends traveling w/us are Charlotte to Frankfurt and then Munich to Charlotte for the first week at a similar price.

1. Boston
2. Barcelona
3. Sep 2-Sept 6
3. Air France (booked on June 24)
4. $1100 (but it includes a three night stay in a hotel + expedia cancellation fee which means we cancel without penalty and receive our money back + voucher for a flight and no change fees)
Interestingly, the flight alone was $1041 but it is an excellent routing as it allows us to maximize our time (my husband has a horrible vacation policy). Cheaper but less convenient flights 2-stop (ugh!) were available for $867 for air alone and $956 for air and hotel. Interestingly, the flight/pkg cost less because one of the flights is a delta codeshare (but we are still flying Air France)

We too in August. Boston to Helsinki on the 10th. Return, Bergen to Boston on the 26th. Flying Delta thru Amsterdam and the cost was $1150. We could have flown IcelandAir for $924, but as a recent thread suggested, you could have someone using part of your seat. Their seating was 3-4-3, while Delta is 2-4-2. Richard
