Who's going to Italy in early April?
We will be in Italy the first two weeks in April...hoping for good weather, but not worried if it's cold or rainy. We're Florida folks so "cold" might not be the same for you. We are visiting the Italian Riviera, visiting the smaller towns plus Genoa, and Cinque Terre. We will be staying in Sestri Levante. Anyone else going at that time?

The first week of April my husband, two teens, and myself will see Rome and Florence, with Siena in between. Then the family will head home for work and school, my sister will join me, and the two of us are off to Cinque Terre (Manarola)for 2 or 3 nights, then down to the Amalfi Coast for 4 nights. We're also hoping for good weather because we'll be doing some hiking and biking.

We will leave on the 11th of April for the Riveriera, Cinque Terre, a taste of Tuscany, and a couple of days in Rome. (We have been to Rome before.) I can hardly get anything done besides read my travel books and this web site. Pat

Going in March to get the last of the off-season rates. Returning March 21.
The first week in March is normally 15-16 degrees in Rome (that is very low 60s for Americans).
To us Canadians, it seems balmy.
FOR CONTEXT: It was so "warm" here on the weekend that we decided to drive up to the cottage. Left the car on the highway and slogged in on foot, through the snow.
The lake was covered with evidence of ice-fishermen: half-ton pickups and SUVs parked out in the middle of a lake so deeply frozen that you can drive over it....

DH and I will be staying with friends at their home about an hour north of Rome for several days around the 14th of April. We have had snow at their house up in the hills near Orvieto in early April. But that is very unusual.

My husband, myself and our 2 children will be in Florence, Venice and Rome from April 1 to April 10. We're hoping for good weather, too, but bringing rain jackets and umbrellas, just in case! Have a great trip!

Couldn't help but respond - too excited! I am bringing 11 friends and family to Italy in April ( fair warning!) We arrive 4/16, spend the week at a villa in Barberino Val D"Elsa, then 3 nights in Rome. THe group is Mom, my sister and her two teenagers, her friend and the friend's teenage daughter, my aunt, my cousin, the cousin's teenage son and two girlfriends of mine. First trip for all but Mom and I (4th). We will be wandering around Florence, Siena, San Gim and Volterra. If you see 12 people laughing a lot, stop and asy hi, it will be us.
