Which of these 2 Hotels in Paris?

I've narrowed down our stay in June for Paris to these 2 hotels. Which do you think would be better for exploring? We only have a few days and want to see the Notre Dame and we have reservations for the Eiffel Tower. We love small cafe's for coffee or wine. Also, we will be arriving in Paris by train from Bayeux and I'm. not sure which station we would use or would be close to one of these hotels. Thanks in advance!

Grand Hôtel Lévêque-
29 RUE CLER 75007 Paris

Hôtel Notre Dame-
19 Rue Maître Albert

In terms of location for exploring, it is Hôtel Notre Dame and not even close.

Agree with Travel to Eat. I stayed at the Hotel Leveque on my first trip to Paris 25 years ago, but now I’d always stay in the 5th/Hotel Notre dame neighborhood. Leveque is nice, and you should visit the Rue Cler market, but rue Maitre Albert is much better for sightseeing.

Right near the Hotel Notre Dame there is an outdoor market that takes place 3 days a week on Pl. Maubert. Probably the best in Paris.

I'll add my agreement with the others here. You can walk down Rue Cler when you visit the Eiffel tower, but the other hotel puts you right in the center of many things most travelers would want to see. I say this given your time constraints. Just to add: Rue Cler is nice, but there are scores of other great markets and streets to stroll in Paris.

10000% agree with all of the above. No contest -- Hôtel Notre Dame

(I personally wouldn't stay on Rue Cler -- the Rick Steves affect has never abated)

I knew that street sounded familiar! Of course, Rick Steves! (I've never stayed anywhere near there..)

Also stayed at Grand Hôtel Lévêque Leveque years ago before rue Cler became tourist thronged because it was fairly inexpensive. It was OK, friendly service and smallish rooms but these days I'd opt for elsewhere. I have not personally stayed at Hôtel Notre Dame on Rue Maître Albert but friends have and gave it good marks. Cozy but comfortable rooms, good service, great location.
