Which location would you spend more time in?

We are traveling to Den Bosch for a 2 day event and plan on doing a loop through Maastrich to Luxemborg to Brugge to Amsterdam. Due to time constraints we can only spend one or two days in each. We prefer rural & quaint to bustling city. Any recommendations as to where we should linger?

Brugge - without a doubt.

May I make some suggestions. Instead of driving from Maatricht to Luxemburg, why not visit Aachen in Germany - very close by and Charlemagne's capital. The cathedral and its precious vaults are spectucular.

A pity about avoiding the bustle because Antwerp is on your route and has a very compact quaint city centre.

Yet a third vote for Brugge.

(However, for rural delights, there are many small towns loaded with charm in eastern Belgium. Just as a suggestion, you may want to check out www.visitbelgium.com: see both the "official" links and check out the one called "Real people, real stories." This last has suggestions from other visitors, including sights, lodgings, and restaurants.)

Whatever you decide, I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
