S' you won't regret considering Fern Cottage. We got a special price because we stayed seven nights, but I think the more nights you stay, the better the price. Monkton Farleigh is tiny, tiny but with the good pub just down the road, a lovely church, old houses, beautiful spring flowers in June, and the gracious welcome of Christopher and Jenny -- great breakfasts, you'll be happy.

Did I say we stayed in their garage apartment/"Carriage House" which had a little kitchen? If you really want to economize, you can get basic groceries at the little shop/post office just around the corner. I guess you can tell that I adored Fern Cottage. I'd go back in a heartbeat. J.
