Where to Stay in Reims

Hello Again!

We are traveling to France and our first stop is Reims, we plan on spending about 3 days here in July. I would love any input on where we should stay. A well priced B&B or an apartment would be ideal. We are 8 adults and 3 kids, so convenience and space is key. We are also using this area for the kids to get over jet lag, while the adults sip champagne. (Our nanny is with us) and we cant wait to check out all the champagne houses and cathedrals. Also recommendations for restaurants, and any culinary experiences would be appreciated as well.

Tricky, you need a large B&B, many are more 3 bedroom types, good luck. I'd try booking.com and airbnb to see what is available. Basically the space between tourist information up to the Forum is a good area, with reasonable walking to most sites. Epernay is much smaller with roughly the same wine houses but the buildings are less interesting.

Do see Taittingers. We went there yesterday and the caves were so impressive. The carvings on the walls by the Romans were interesting but he said some were done by WW1 soldiers when they caves were used for a hospital. Staying in hotel so not helpful. The center is very nice, explore the passageways, even a Monoprix in there.
