Jana,

We have stayed in St. Remy for many years. Valrugues is an elegant hotel with a fine dining room in which we have dined. We stay in a smaller, less expensive restaurant on the outskirts of St. Remy.

There are two restaurants in St. Remy that I recommend to you. "Gousse d'Ail" is an intimate restarant in town, 14 tables, run by a friendly Dutchman, nicknanmed "Chebba". Food is wonderful. The other is "La Source". Dine in the garden only.

If you are traveling about the area there is a wonderful restaurant near Gordes (about 50 km from St. Remy), called Mas Toureton. We had the best lunch of our lives here under the elms.

Valrugues is a ten minute walk in to lovely St. Remy. Dine there and be reminded of Paris. Lunch at Mas Toureton and then never forget Provence.

If I can be of further help please contact me.
