Where to stay in Cunda or Ayvalik in July?

Hi!
Is Cunda island more charming for a short stay than Ayvalik especially in the summer season?
Due to limited time,is it recommended to visit Pergamon or Assos from Ayvalik.

Assos is a very charming place, close to the sea, but Pergamon is way bigger and much more interesting.
Cunda versus Ayvalik: just a matter of personal preference.
If you are looking for fine sand beaches, the best area is around Samisakli.

Thank you neckervd for your reply and for the suggestions.
Please is it possible to visit assos and Pergamon the same day if I rent a car ?
if you have only one day, what do you recommend from your personal opinion.

Since I am not for beaches even if I also appreciate to stay , stroller near the sea , I appreciate charming old towns beautiful back streets , charming and romantic atmosphere .

A decent visit of Pergamon takes more than half a day.
If you really want to enjoy the site, you best walk down from the Akropolis to the lower Agora, visiting the many monuments along the path.
There is a archeological museum in the city center and the Asclipion together with other excavatins 6 km in the South.
Assos is about 3 1/2h hrs by car from Pergamon.
The way back from Assos to Ayvalik takes 2 - 2 1/2 hrs by car.
