Where to stay?

We, two adults and two kids, are flying into Paris, staying a few days, and then we have two weeks to do as we please. We have a car, but we are wondering about what area and or accomodations to set up at. Any great or not so great experiences we should know about?

You need to give us some clue as to what your interests are. Which direction did you have in mind. How many days in one area. How old are the kids. I think you'll get a lot more help that way.

I was told to stay at the Best Westerns...they are not going to be like what we have here in the states, but they are regulated by our government, and I am told that the 3/4 stars on some hotels are not the same as our 3/4/5 star hotels. Just what I heard....also, if anyone knows, do they charge per person, or per day??? I'm told both.....

There are many charming Best Western hotels in Europe. I like that they will give you a discount if you have an AARP card. Check out their website www.bestwestern.com.
