Where To Rent In Italy

We are planning a honeymoon in Italy in early May. We wanted to pick two or three cities and rent a house, villa or apartment for a weeks time. I would love suggestions on where to rent and who to contact, websites, etc...
Thanks

I can give thumbs up to at least three different companies, based on personal experience. Our latest experience - - with www.rentvillas.com - - (the "Fodorites' fall trip" to Italy, 2001) describes the rental here:

http://www.fodors.com/forums/pgMessages.jsp?fid=2&tid=1290478

I also have been pleased with www.regencyintapts.com

and www.domani-usa.com

The latter is run by a very nice guy by the name of Larry Haase. Ask for him by name, and tell him I said hello.

Best wishes,

Rex
We are staying in an apartment in Rome this next trip through a company that is primarily a limo/tour service. I know these folks from a previous trip to Rome and they are VERY good at what they do, very professional and friendly. The apartment is a new venture for them and I expect it to be great. I will follow up and let you know how it goes. They are quite reasonable and very knowledgable. Their website is www.driverinrome.com
Owner Remo and his son Daniele Melaragno.

Congrats on your nuptials!
