Where to rent a car in Barcelona

We will be staying in Barcelona at the Meridian on Las Rambla area and then renting a car and driving to Granada. I wanted to see if anyone has any has recommendations for the best/easiest place to rent a car. Also, does anyone have car rental agency recommendations?

Thanks!

Goldcar has been giving good rates when we rent in valencia.. check it out I think they are a catalán company.

Leaving Barcelona is quite easy. Granada is quite a distance.. probably 9 hours with stops.

Thanks for the info. We are going from Barcelona to Peniscola for a few days and then on to Granada with a stop or 2 along the way and finally ending in Seville. I guess I just should have put Peniscola. I just was trying to figure out the easiest place to rent in Barcelona. I'm going to check out Goldcar.

When I arrived there, I rented from the airport. Are you asking about where to get one in town?

Volcrew,
Yes, I am trying to figure out where the best/most convenient/least stressful place to get a car in Barcelona. We will be in Barcelona for a few days and will get the car when we are leaving.

If you use AutoEurope, it will give you the address of the agencies available and you can check their location on Google Map.

AVIS has a rental location at Corcega 293/295, which is probably the best location when heading out of city to the south or west. As already noted, you should check with Auto Europe. They use AVIS in Barcelona and their rates are excellent.

You should find all major rental car agencies at Sants Estacio (check fine print for possible surcharges for picking up car at train stations).
There is also a Sixt location at Aragó 54 (@ Rocafort) in Left Eixample.
To get to either location will be a €5-7 taxi ride from your hotel.

We picked up our (AutoEurope) rental at the Sants station http://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.c...ona-sants.html, with no problems. We circled Christopher Columbus a couple of extra times, trying to find our way out of Barcelona, but nothing traumatic.
