Where to Party in Paris!!!

3 Nights in Paris, early october. First question: Which part of town should one stay to be able to walk the city in detail?? Any experience with nice budget places to stay in that area??

Second and the more important question; Where do you party in Paris? the best, crazy fun for 2-3 nights??

Thanks Guys.

I agree. Rue Oberkampf for clubbing.

Check out the budget Hotel Beauchmarchais.

Its a three-star with great rates on Rue Oberkampf. Haven't stayed there, but its on my list to check out in the future.

If you're in Paris on October 7th (first Saturday) definitely run around Paris at La Nuit Blanche - an all night, free performance arts festival sponsored by the City of Paris. One big party!!! Especially, in the Les Halles area. Maybe, I'll run into you - C

Besides rue Oberkampf, there is also rue de Lappe, near Bastille.
