Where to Park Rental Car While Visiting Sintra

Hello, this October after spending two days in Lisbon we will be driving to Sintra, our first stop on a two-week trip. We do not want to drive in Sintra. Does anyone know of a good/safe place to park our car and catch public transportation while we visit this city? Thank you.

Parking in Sintra is difficult most of the time. There's a large open parking lot off Ave Dr. Álvaro do Vasconcelos you may be able to use, but I don't know how safe it would be to leave anything in the car.

That's an idea. I was wondering if the train station at Sintra would be a good place to park? Or maybe we'll just leave it in Lisbon, take the train to Sintra and return to Lisbon for the car. Thank you for your help.

I would simply take the train to Sintra, around 20 minutes, and pick up the car when you're ready to leave Lisbon.
