Congrats on your wedding next year, but.....
"Where should you honeymoon?" You ask such a vague question, and then say you want US to provide specific suggestions?
If you haven't at least SOMEWHAT narrowed it down, and not just by the weather, then the answers you get are going to be ALL over the place and you'll be right back where you started.
Narrow down your interests, wayyyyy more than just the weather, and then we might be able to make some awesome recommendations for you.

Definitely Maui, the big island of Hawaii and Kawaui. 5 Days at each island. Perfection for a honeymoon. Shopping, relaxation, best scenery in the world, and incredible lava sightings! Definitely stay at Volcano house for a couple of nights at the Big Island. It's right at the edge of the Kilauea crater overlooking the crater, sulpur leeking through the ground. It's like staying on the moon. You will never forget it. It becomes a part of you. Driving around the island and then the road stops and there's a sign saying Road Closed as a 20 foot breadth of lava came through and crushed everything in it's path. Live hot red lava flowing into the ocean at night - unforgettable. Everything you see is amazing on each island. Waimea canyon is like the Grand Canyon! Napali Cliffs from a boat is like being on another planet - beauty beyond comprehension. Great hiking on Kawaui, great food everywhere. You'll love it, or anywhere else you decide to go per the next suggestions on this thread. Congrats. I went to Hawaii on my first honeymoon. The marriage didn't last but the memories are priceless.
2nd honeymoon was St Lucia. Also a highly recommended spot with lots of hiking, volcano, mountains, great beaches, shopping, scenery, boating, other nearby islands.
My 2 cents.

one of my kids went to belize and one went to nantucket, for starters...
italy is nice and so is the far east, like thailand, but september can be tough, except in bali where it should be beautiful with a stop in some other asian place like singapore or bangkok or hong kong...
alot depends on what "type" of trip you want, i.e. beach, city, driving, resort, diving, mountains, vedge, or a combination...you have to decide that first
