Where to go in Croatia
I'm considering a trip to Croatia next summer. 5 adults and 2 children ages 10 and 7. Beaches are important, preferably sand. What is recommended between Split, Dubrovnik, or Rovinj/Rijeka area?

For sand beaches in Croatia, a google search should serve you well. Example:

Dubrovnik, Split, and Istria are incredibly different in culture, food, architecture, geography, sites of potential interest to tourists, etc. Without knowing anything else of your interests, I don't see how any of us could possibly answer your question.
In contrast, a good guidebook -- the Rough Guide for Croatia is excellent -- would provide the kind of information you seek (in additional to answers to questions you might not even know to ask), and the cost would be nugatory in comparison to the cost of your trip.
Good luck!

Croatia has very few sandy beaches. Most beaches are gravel, pebbles, rocks.
Rab island has a large sandy beach in the town of Lopar.
