Where to buy fabric in London

Hello there,

I live in London, but I am not sure where to go to buy fabric. I would like to have some curtains made for our new flat. Any ideas?

Thank you!
Jamie

Peter Jones in Sloane Square. They also have a big selection of ready made curtains.

Peter Jones has beautiful fabrics. I don't sew any more but love to look at fabric and I spent over an hour in there.

There used to be a big fabric discounter out in Shepherd's Bush. Also, on the A30 in Camberley, there's a drapery and curtain consignment shop--well displayed and items are only accepted if professionally cleaned. There may be similar in London. The shop in Camberley was on a corner near the A30 entrance to Sandhurst.

Ikea also carries fabric - there are several shops around London (some reachable via public transport).

The selection at Liberty is lovely though -
