Where is the bus station in Siena?
Can someone tell me where the bus station is in Siena? I am looking for the Sena bus because I will be taking that from Siena to Rome. Here is the website for the bus company. For some reason I can't find the locations in Siena??

There isn't really a bus station. Buses stop at multiple locations. One of the main pick-up points for the Sena bus is Piazza Gramsci (really a big parking lot, no station)which is at the edge of the historic center.

Here are the stops.
SIENA (Colonna San Marco (fermata Sena))
SIENA (Piazza Gramsci (fermata Sena))
SIENA (Antiporto lato Snack Bar (fermata Sena))
SIENA (STAZIONE FS FERMATA SENA)
SIENA (Viale Toselli (fermata Sena))
BETTOLLE (Casello A1)
ROMA (Salaria RAI)
ROMA (Salaria, lato Lancia n° 665)
ROMA (AUTOSTAZIONE TIBURTINA)
Where you catch the bus depends on which location is convenient for you.

Jill, those are the stops as they occur when traveling from Siena to Rome. Read from top to bottom for starting in Siena and ending in Rome. You get on at whichever is most convenient, then you stay on and the bus stops at the next, and then the next, etc., all the way to Rome.

Even if buses stop at other stops, I think there are advantages in hopping on at Piazza Gramsci if you are staying nearby. 1) You have more choices seats and 2) the ticket windows are under the Piazza Gramsci (that is literally underneath the Piazza Gramsci bus stop.) 3) The digital display at the Piazza "might" display the last minutes notices.

I agree with greg- Piazza Gramsci is your best choice. Many buses originate and end there and we did not have a problem finding English speakers at the ticket windows when we needed them. The Piazza is just outside the wall and one of the entrances into the old city. It is adjacent to the Hotel Jolly (I would not recommend it) and the football stadium.
Do you already have a hotel?

I want to stay at this hotel - http://www.palazzoravizza.it/en/relais-siena
It looks like the Piazza Gramsci is almost a mile away. I am not sure I want to walk this far with luggage. When I pull up google maps, it looks like there are a few bus stops around my hotel. However, I am not sure if these bus stops are used by Sena???

No, most stops that show on the maps are for local city buses, but Sena uses a few of the same ones.
Your closest to your hotel might be the first stop listed - Colonna S Marco - which is on the west side of Siena. I would e-mail and make sure they always make this stop before I planned catching the bus there.

I bought mine online from the website. You must print each person's ticket. There are discounts on some routes if you purchase 10 days in advance. If you click on "Prenotazioni Siena-Roma-Siena cliccare qui" (cliccare qui means click here) the on the first page, it rolls over to Baltour for you to make the purchase. When it rolls over, you can select English in the upper left corner (it's slow to load) or the Italian is easy to figure out. After you select your country, select your city, date then select Nazionale region (Lazio for Rome)and Roma, click Cerca at the bottom. You will get a list of times to select then hit continue. Be sure to click the drop down box under tariff/fare to see if there are any discounts you can snag. Some require 10-15 days advance purchase and 2+ travelers. Tell your credit card company you will be making an online purchase from and Italian website in advance so they won't block your purchase. Print your actual tickets, not just the confirmation number as the bus driver will take a part of each ticket.
Do not click English on this link. Click as directed above and click English when it rolls to Baltour.

E-mail them (it's on the Baltour link). I had no problems purchasing online and printing my tickets. I also e-mailed them for information on one of the bus stops in Milan. They responded quickly.
I've just done a walk through to where you put in your credit card info (select type of credit card). I'm not sure why you are having a problem. It might be your security settings (enable cookies?).

As you can see from this other thread, others have printed their own tickets as recently as last week.
