I'm currently living in Sydney, Australia but am moving back to Melbourne in a week and a half after 10 years away. Ahhhh, scary!

A southerner born in S.C. living in tourist-retirement area of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
So fun to see where many of you folks are living and traveling. I must check this site when home at least 2 times a day. My education without school! I'm a retired teacher.

Woodstock, New York, very rural in the Catskill Mtns and near the extraordinarily scenic Hudson River Valley. I've seen lots of the US, Caribbean, UK, France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Austria, Hungary, Czech Rep, some of Canada, a bit of Mexico, and a bit of Turkey, which is hopefully my next big trip.

Lots more places and continents to visit. I want to go everywhere!! Alas, too little time.

Fodors is the greatest, by the way. Lots of great regulars and lots of generous travel fans who are rich source of information.

I have been to many citys around the world, on 4 continents.

Last go round, we were living in Brussels (5 years Brussels plus 6 months central Germany). Now we're in the UK and I can't say that we're loving it or even liking it that much. We'd go back to Brussels in a minute. However, it's early days and hopefully things will improve.

Thomthumb:
The MFA ran a French film festival last July. The Alliance Francaise/French Library also loans/rents a fairly wide selection of French DVDs and movies to its members, so that might be another way to see French films in Boston. In addition, the AF/FL often screens French films on Thursday nights--those I believe you can pay to attend without being a member.

Born in Albany, NY -- have lived in PA, NY, CT, CO, MD, FL, MD, and am now living in the beautifully snowy Syracuse, NY area. It's great to be back in NY state -- no one makes fun of my accent!

I've been to Ireland, England, Italy, Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland. Hubby and I are currently planning on returning to Florence in March. On the top of my To Visit list is Scotland, followed by Greece and Turkey.
