Wow! Billur, what a lovely site! My roomie and I are thinking of visiting Turkey because we heard it's inexpensive and they sell cool jewelry. She runs a gift shop and is always looking for exotic things to stock.

Born in Bradenton, Florida. Left to go to college in Nashville, TN and swore never to return (B'ton was too small). Made stops in Columbia, SC, Jackson, MS, and Winston-Salem, NC. We got tired of being transferred and the kids were getting to be school age - now we're back in Bradenton!

Amazing that this thread has lasted so long. Alas, I was unable to read through the 400-some replies but I did enjoy seeing how many different nationalities we have visiting the forum!

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA (24 years). Left the ROCK and moved to Fresno, California, USA. Love it here and I travel as much as possible!

This is a great thread. Let's keep it going. I was born in Texas close to the Rio Grande River and the Mexican border. Therefore, I think I am a TEX-MEX....moved to San Francisco Bay area
many years ago and have made this my home until our next move to suburns of Phoenix, AZ. My heart yearns for travel and when our last child leaves the nest (he's 12) we are going fly away
to Europe and do one grand tour. Happy travels to all.
