Im a student trying to book tix to go to Edinburgh from Italy (preferrably pisa or florence) for the end of Dec to beginning of January and I cant seem to find any tickets that are even close to affordable right now. I've tried the faithfuls such as Ryanair, Easyjet, and countless others. Anyone have any ideas as to where to look next?

Have you checked flights from Pisa to Glasgow Prestwick with Ryanair? There are some ridiculously cheap fares in the week beginning 9th January & you could be in Edinburgh within a couple of hours.

A lot of families travel to and from Italy to spend Christmas in and to meet friends and families, while Scotland attract huge crowds for the Hogmany.
If you can't find anything on bargain airlines, try main scheduled carriers whose fares can be competitive, like Alitalia, BA, BMI, Swiss and Lufthansa.
