Where can the young adults play in italy?

I am 29 and single and going with a friend to italy in sept.

I want to go to Rome and florence for the history and thought I would head down to capri for fun in the sun. Does this sound like a good Plan? Can this be done in 14 days?

Possible, yes, but if I were on Capri, I'd have a hard time being so close and not seeing the towns on the Amalfi Coast, spending a day seeing Pompei, the Archeological Museum (Naples) and a little bit of Naples.

Unless you have no interest in the other sights in Campania or are willing to take away some days from Florence and Rome, I think I'd head to the Cinque Terre instead.

Hi L,

You might want to consider:

Fly into Florence 4 days, train to Rome for 5 days, train to Sorrento for 4 (visit Capri overnight) and fly home from Naples.

Any reason why you've left out Venice?

I'd just like to point out that, in addition to history, there is plenty of fun and romance to be found in Rome. Nightlife galore...la dolce vita!
