where are the deals?

My husband and I want to go to Europe in October and we would like to go somewhere where there are travel deals. We figure we can pay full price anytime. We've been to London, Scotland, Portugal and France. We were thinking Ireland and a friend was recommending Holland. Any recommendations?

I don't know about Ireland in October.....................
We were there in May and it was JUST sunny enough and JUST warm enough for us! The constant wind and drizzle for more than a day interfered with our photography plans.
If you are from a cold climate I guess you'll cope.

This does not in anyway detract from the fact we loved Ireland and had a great trip! Heres my report:

I guess Holland may be a bit the same?

If by "travel deals" you mean lower costs, I'd suggest Greece or Spain.

I did Spain and Portugal this spring and found them suprisingly affordable!

Amsterdam has had some amazing deals for 4 star hotels on Priceline the past few months... 60-75 USD a night.

Check the Netherlands forum at Trip Advisor as the hotel price thread is usually near the top.
