My dear Rex Kindly forgive an
old man who has been out of high
school over 55 years. At that time
the metric system was only used in
specific places certainly not as widely used as it is now. Probably I missedany lessons on the metric system if they w\
were given, must confess did a lot of sleeping in class along with many
others who held full or part time
jobs at the end of the conflict.
Those were the interesting years.
Richard of LaGrange Park, Il..
Aww Mr X, don't make this old nurse dog start learning new tricks...let's leave the cc's and mg's alone in the medical world...and the pharmacist's have trouble enough reading those prescriptions as it is!!! Don't make the dr's learn something new, too!!!

Having lived in metric use countries for 12 years, I'm all in favor of its adoption in the United States. It's easier to use and, in these times, would make us more competitive in the world economy. Years ago, Congress passed resolutions to adopt the metric system in, if I recall, 15 years. We'd be better off if they had followed through.
