when to book
I am going to Spain this summer with four other ppl., stopping in Tel Aviv first, (late June to mid-July). I'd like to book the flights but we have to iron out a few details first. With domestic travel I have gotten some good last minute deals, but I realize the same may not be true for international travel. When would be a good time to book, Can we wait a few (three) more weeks, or should we book asap? I was quoted a good price, but I fear that the price may rise the longer I wait. Please advise. Thank you.

You're unlikely to find fares going down for peak summer travel, which you are doing.
And where are you from? How and why would you stop at Tel Aviv first for a trip to Spain? That doesn't make much geographical sense if you're from N. America.

As rkkwan said, prices are unlikely to go down. However, when you say you have a few details to iron out first, do you mean there's a chance you might change your dates? As we all learn from a recent thread started by crepes, changing dates on an already booked ticket can cost upwards of $2-300, unless you buy a fully refundable, exchangable ticket. Whereas if you wait for 2-3 weeks until you have firmly set your dates, the plane ticket price may go up less than $200.
