cd:
Another suggestion I read was to put outfits together in one bag, so that you just have to remove one bag instead of a bunch of bags looking for different matching items.

Dear AC
Actually, I did do that with a couple of items. Another thing I did was to put one of the zip lock bags with panties and another small zip lock bag with a clean turtleneck in my purse, just in case our luggage gets waylayed. It is amazing how small those items can become!!

JohnG-all the hotels that I stay in either have irons in the rooms or you can get one from housekeeping. Now THAT is heavy! carrying around an iron!
Can't you learn to pack better so your stuff doesnt get sooo wrinkled?

whilst staying in the hunting lodge in Scotland with Sheila and friends, we found the ironing queue in the mornings to be insufferable. therefore I suggest you bring your own iron wherever you may go..

;-)

Sometimes your local grocery chain will carry their own brand of ziploc bags; i.e., Kroger sells the 2-gallon size freezer bags under their brand name. They are cheaper too!

Rather than plastic zip lock bags, I prefer to use the mesh bags with zippers that are sold for washing delicate items. They are available in assorted sizes, no squeezing out the air, and easy to see through in order to find items.

I was surprised not to read another favorite approach Fodorites have used to get rid of wrinkles. Hang the item in the bathroom when showering and the steam removes many of the wrinkles.

I am consistently wrinkle-free and have been for the last 22 years. Follow my method for happiness.

joedirt,you are super.
I just cannot consider carrying an iron on my travels! I think I would rather drop the wrinkled things off at a laundry than waste time in a hotel ironing.Or do as I do, take things that do not wrinkle much, hang them immediately, use the plastic when packing, and don't worry. In these times, what a pleasure if that was the worst thing we had to worry about!

Wrinkles? As me old ma would say, never be noticed on a galloping horse. Just keep movin'.

Actually, I have been more worried about the wrinkles appearing on my face lately than any on my clothes!
