Thanks for the website with drinking water fountains in Rome, Isabel. I know it is spring water and excellent. I love sparkling water, too, and order it as a treat, but not because I'm worried about getting sick. In countries outside the UK, Ireland and the EU, I buy bottled water or count on the advice of friends who are residents and that of my physician.

Thank you, kybourbon for your photos and isabel for the map of drinking fountains in Rome. We enjoyed a couple of them by chance on our last visit and now look forward to using some of the ones on the map during our many upcoming walks through Rome. Thanks.

Because of many acqueducts Rome has the best cool fresh water..Yes it is very safe to drink from the various fountains around the city and Even on the hottest days the water is so cool and tasty.
