What to stay in Nice? Apartment?
I will be spending a week in Nice in July and I'll be taking day trips from there to other towns at the Cote D'Azure including Cannes and St Tropez and perhaps into Monaco.
So, I thought I'd be better off staying at an apartment in Nice as a base, and I'm in desperate need of help on finding/booking an apartment. It doesn't look as easy as booking one in Paris.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!

In case you need to do a Google search, it's "Cote d'Azur" without the e.
A day trip in July to St Tropez will be a bit of a challenge.
Do you have my 27 page Cote d'Azur & Provence itinerary - with lots of suggestions about Nice backcountry scenic drives & cute villages?? If you would like one, e-mail me at [email protected]

Thanks very much for the websites.
Yes, Stu, I've read about the horrible Cote d'azur traffic in the summer!
But I was thinking perhaps I could take the ferry into St Tropez from Nice one day (I think I read some where that there is a public ferry from Nice to St Tropez, is this true?)

Ferry would work better - I would not try to drive.
We've stayed in St Tropez on several occasions for 1 to 2 weeks at a time in June or Sept. It gets way too crowded for us between about 11am & 5 pm. During that time we're usually at the beach, taking some scenic drives, visiting some cute little villages, hanging around the apt, taking walks just outside of St Tropez, bike trip, etc.

I stayed at Residence Lamartine last month.
It's very close to old Nice and very close to the Nice ville train station. A good location.
The lady who booked the room for me was really nice too.
She has a cute little dog who hangs out at the lobby.
The apartment is large, clean, has kitchen with all cooking supplies, fridge, and a huge bathroom with shower.
There is air conditioning and it works REALLY WELL!
Pets are allowed.
