Pitt I agree w/ Maribel, first choice go to Rocio Molina. She is one of the young stars of today.

As for the school performance I really am not sure. My guess is that the performance will be something you will enjoy and include young dancers of the semi professional amd amateur level, which can still be very good. Maybe some little ones but I can't speak with authority on that. I'd go for it. If up to me I'd go all the days.

If you do go to the school performance get there early.

Pitt please excuse the hijak:

Maribel I just last night went to see Antonio El Pipa's show here in So Cal at the Barclay Theater. It was very good. I hear the other show which was presented was even better but I could not make those dates. It is part of the annual New World Flamenco Festival.

Thanks Amdson,

I actually won't be in Sevilla that night - we leave for Cordoba that night as we're planning to be in Cordoba all day Friday.

The show I'll be there for is:
Teatro Central (21:00 h.)
"DIEGO AMADOR CUARTETO"
Diego Amador, Manuel de la Luz, Antonio Coronel and Chechu

Any thoughts? My husband (somewhat) translated the explanation of his performance but I couldn't quite tell if it was musicians or had dancers as well.

Thanks again! And of course no problem hijacking this thread

Hi pittpurple,
The cuartet will be piano and voice, flamenco guitar, bass and percussion.
You can read all about Diego Amador here:

Pittpurple...
I'm not done posting my Andalucia trip report but we did get to Italica on Day 3 and my husband was thrilled that we did. Hope to write more in detail tomorrow...but we got directly to the front door of the ruins by public bus, admission was free, and we probably spent 1 1/2 hours there. Granted, our kids got antsy, but we were there and back before 1 p.m.

pitts-- I am so glad you listen to me and squeezed in ITALICA!!! . Once you mentioned your husband was into anything Roman, I really, really thought it was NUTS not to work it in.

If you ever return to Spain, do MERIDA! It was UNBELIEVABLE as far as Roman Ruins and history!!
