what to do in Rome for 2days
Dear All,
My husband and I will be in Rome Dec.24<p.m.>- Dec. 25. I have been to Rome twice but this is my husband's first. Would like to show him around but I need your help to plan my strategy. We will arrive Rome around 2 pm, Dec.24 and will leave Rome Dec 26 <a.m.>
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.
PS.
Staying close to the Vatican.

Hi ccc,
You will be there on a Sunday, Xmas day and Tuesday.
The Vatican will be closed on the 24th, many other museums will be closed on Monday.
See http://tinyurl.com/yzyjch for a list of opening times.

Hi
I have made an interactive Google map on http://gardkarlsen.com/rome_italy_map.htm . This shows the location of some of the attractions, some of the places we went to eat etc. Maybe this can give your husband an idea of where things are located in Rome.
Regards
Gard

This article, about a 36 hour stay in Rome, appears in today's New York Times; with some adaptation, it will help in planning:

I just realized the link I provided above was for page 2 of the article. This is the link to the beginning:
