can you believe this? cote d'or tourisme forgot to send my application to classification!!!! I called the "préfecture" this morning and the lady said I was not on the 3rd may commission (board)they simply forgot me and the next one is within 2 months at least!"
anyway she was confident I would have 4* even with no garden.
I hope tedgale will come and tell you a good news for a certain website I can't talk about here ;-)

I'm so excited, I can't keep it for myself, a picture of my flat is on the cover page of Cote d'Or tourisme brochure for self catering accommodations!! (with 3 others village houses, I'm the only one with a picture of a "town accommodation&quot
I'm still waiting for the stars (in september now!) but I don't mind.
what a good surprise! >-
I'm going to London soon,I'm glad to give a few brochures to la Maison de la France " on Piccadilly so everyone can see myhomeindijon ;-)

We found some good rental when we went to Croatia and Greek islands, if you look on Yahoo you can often judge by if the place has various listings and then see if Yahoo find you some reviews, perhaps putting in reviews in the search box will help

There are ongoing scams re apartment rentals, as just mentioned today in this MSNBC article.

We booked an apartment in Venice and in the end I went by instinct and the way the company was responding to my numerous questions. I built up a rapport with the rental person and was really looking forward to meeting him on arrival. Luckily he was there!

I had a query. Does anyone know a company called Opodohome as we are looking at renting an apartment in Paris next year. They look good and have responded well to queries but a concern is that they want a 1500 euro security deposit on arrival (more than the apartment rental!) Is this usual for French apartments?
Does anyone have any good sites they use for apartments in Paris apart from the VRBO?
Thanks

Hi rosiemay, in France there is Opodo which belongs to Air France, Aer Lingus, Alitalia, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, KLM, Lufthansa and Amadeus.
I don't think they are related as Opodohome is located in Singapour...

hope someone here will help you!
