WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE TRAVEL SITE ON THE WEB?

In my "Favorites" file I have collected several hundred site addresses over the years. One that I came across this week has the most stunning graphics I have seen. It is in a class by iself. It's for Pic a Relais & Chateaux in France at:

http://www.pic-valence.com

What are your favourite finds?
This is a place on Lake Annecy, love the music! It reminded me how peaceful the night was we sipped drinks at the water's edge.
www.perebise.com

A little biased, but I'd say
The Long Trip Home

http://www.thelongtriphome.com

It's an online literary magazine for travelers with some pretty good writing on it.

Another pretty good one is Crazy Dog Travel

http://crazydogtravel.com/

that crazydog site is good ONLY if you are a young, backpacking, hosteling type. It has good info for that crowd but most likely will not appeal to the majority of the people that frequent this board. As for me, I really don't want to know how to pack my backpack, what hostel is best, how to hitchhike around other countries, etc.

Very, very practical is the Johnny Jet site (www.johnnyjet.com) which has a lengthy list of links to yet other good travel websites.
There are lots of sites, but besides this one (Fodor's) I also like a country-specific site www.initaly.com. It primarily covers Italy, but it does so very well. And there are links to other sites as well as good articles, pictures, travel advice, and miscellaneous stuff like the food, using the telephones, maps, etc.

I agree with Julie, this one. Even when I'm not planning a trip I'll visit fodors at least once a week. I get more great info from on this forum than from any other web site.

I really like Channels. This URL is for Channels Amsterdam, but it has links to other cities:

http://channels.nl/
