I really enjoyed our day in Dijon this past May -- there was an Antiques Market the day we visited, and we enjoyed our self-guided walking tour, using a booklet our hotel in Grevey-Chambertain had provided. Dijon's "mascot" is the owl -- you will see many owls all over the old part of the city. (Not flying about...I mean in decorative touches!)

You might want to look for a case of Romanee Contee wine. Of course, you'll need several thousand dollars, but what the heck!
Dijon is nice little town that provides a nice jumping off point to the vinyards of Burgandy. The wine is a must and you may want to bring back mustard, but a few different types like Cassis and green pepper.
