Speaking of porcine products, has anyone ever been to Ile de Porquerolles?
A brief article I just found in Conde Nast Traveler online called it "one of the Continent's secret offshore gems" and goes on to say "Privately owned for centuries?first by monks and then by a family that made a fortune mining in Mexico?this tiny island is today a car-free national park. Hiking or biking through forests fragrant with wild rosemary and thyme, with the topaz waters of the Mediterranean often in view, you'll quickly fall under the spell of the southern French coast as it existed for centuries, before it became heavily urbanized after World War II."

Remember, people, we must include some European names of cities to foil the electronic Fodor message thread deleter software. So long as the message contains "travel" words, the automoton thinks it's about travel, and won't delete the other content.
So, Hamburg, Cologne, Lauda-Konigshofen
Paris, Lille, Normandy
