I can second www.thisislondon.com. It's great! You should also try http://london.walks.com/ - they do walks in Berlin and Paris, too.

A helpful site for global outfitting as well other travel links: www.travelsmith.com. Great fares are found at www.bestfares.com. You don't have to be a subscriber to access the news desk bargains each Wednesday.
I read the news on Central Europe Online almost every day, forgetting to share with you their travel resources! The weekly travel articles cover Czech Rep., Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Rumania, Slovenia... They vary from at & architecture to food to cultural experiences, hiking and some serious stuff. [I am thinking of the excellent and *very* moving piece on the sites of the 1956 Hungarian Uprising in Budapest.] So try: http://www.centraleurope.com/ceo/travel/travhome.html and explore!

I have found numerous sites for Paris but favorites are intermusee, Louvre, and Giverny sites. Another beautiful site is www.pariswater.com with pictures of fountains and digital postcards.

Some daily favorites are salonwanderlust.com-an interesting and varied e-mag, and Frommers daily travel e- newsletter-which has super deals and good reader recommendations. The best weekly publications I've found are the San Francisco Examiner and New York Times Sunday travel sections. The "Follow the Reader" column in the SF Examiner has had many great recommendations. There is no charge for any of these.
