What are you doing right now???

Thanks god is Friday??? I'm sure that many people right now are looking at their clocks and waiting to get out of work. Some planning a nice weekend in their hometown, some getting ready to travel abroad....lucky you!!! and some are just beginning to work...

I'm having some company in my house and we are entertaining. Tomorrow dinner with the parents and probably going dancing (Salsa / Merengue) with the wife. And Sunday, going to www.hopkinsvineyard.com for a nice drive to see the foilage and get some wine.

What are you looking forward to.....?

I just came back from the office Halloween party where our department won the pumpkin carving contest!! WOOHOO!!

No big plans for the weekend, but I must buy candy. I always make a point of getting a type of candy I don't like, otherwise there will be none left for the kids.

What am I looking forward to? Oh, so many things!

DH gets home tonight after being gone for 2 weeks.

Halloween weekend. My kids are 2 and 4 so it's all about fun! They're dressing up as a bumblebee and a Care Bear.

Thanksgiving: we're hosting 21 family members, from both sides of the family. It's the first time both families have been together since our wedding, 10+ years ago.

Christmas at home, just the four of us.

We're going somewhere as a family in May. Still up in the air, but something close by, probably to visit friends.

Italy in June--just DH and me. I'm still in the afterglow of purchasing the air tickets yesterday.

In August, we're all meeting up with DH's side of the family (15 of us) for a week at a cabin in the Colorado mountains. There are 6 cousins age 4 and under and they have such a blast together. As designated travel planner junkie, I get to work out the details.

Spring break 2006: Venice with the kids???

My bed's not made but I've got the next two years planned out!

oh yeah...that's true Halloween this weekend! I totally forgot about it. Then in that case, I'm staying much longer at the vineyard to escape from the kids! Just kidding!

Then out to dinner with the Yankee.
Saturday, company at our house for lunch and a viewing of the Blue Angels Air Show.
Sunday, Halloween, we will go out to dinner at our favorite bistro and avoid the trick or treaters~

Right now - trying not to work too hard.

This weekend I am planning on visiting with my nephew, who was born just two days ago.

I came from lunch a little early - picked up my new prescription glasses with transition lenses. With medical insurance discounts (my eye insurance doesn't cover glasses, only doctor's visits) they "robbed" me for only $195.

Tomorrow is a ballet evening, the tickets for my family is in my purse already so I don't forget them at home

And dreaming of Switzerland... this year I'm going to Europe, only it's all still up in the air, as first of all I need to get an answer from my son if he's going with me, and this is far the hardest part of planning

And, Carlos, thank you for starting this thread!

I'm going to "coccoon" this weekend. Saturday, I'll prepare pork with apples and calvados to see if I would make it for friends...this fall. Otherwise, I'll watch home decorating shows and old movies on TV.

Waiting for traffic to lighten up so we can go to Home depot for a desperately needed mailbox.
And wishing everyone a happy week-end.
Tomorrow, a parade for the RED SOX

I just got home from Halloween partying with my fifth grade class. They are wonderful children and we had a great time. Then I went to buy the biggest pumpkin I have ever bought to put out in the front of the house. No big plans for the weekend but I will watch a little of the Red Sox parade on TV tomorrow.

It is a beautiful late afternoon here (north of Boston) so I will pour myself a glass of wine and try to find a little patch of sunshine outside and sip and enjoy the spectacular colors of fall on the trees surrounding our home.

Enjoy your weekend, everyone!

London, 10pm Friday.

Drinking a glass (or so) or Marks and Spencers Classic Claret (it was cheap, ok?), waiting for my partner to get back from the pub.

BBC 10pm news has just come on:
Headlines:
1. A new tape by Bin Laden has just been broadcast direct to the American people
2. 25 EU leaders have just signed the European Constitution.

For the first time on weeks I have NO PLANS for the weekend. The most exciting it's going to get will be shopping for some walking boots for a weekend in the Scottish Highlands I have planned for the end of November.

1. Supervising workmen building a new porch on our house; 2. waiting for Child #2 to return home from college to celebrate her birthday; 3. trying to help Child #3 decide whether or not The Grudge movie is too scary for him (saw "The Ring" a year or so ago and almost needed therapy, but encouraging him to make up own mind and not bow to peer pressure or substitute our judgement for his own). Stuffing junk into new "healthy back" bag that UPS just brought to see how much it will hold.

Oh, and stirring spaghetti sauce for dinner. A pretty typical Friday night around here.

Marianna, lost your email address. J wants to know which school. He's a school volunteer at Somerville, Woburn and a charter school in Lawrence. Teaches poetry and writing.

Carlos, I loved Puerto Rico.

Just got home from work and am waiting for my 1 year old grandson to come over and play.

I'm hoping to get some good pictures of him playing in the leaves- the colors are still pretty right now, but won't be for long.

Then we're having some friends over for dinner - Hubby's cooking! :

Artichokes wrapped in prosciutto with gorgonzola sauce for an appetizer, Bassa (fish) with lemon & capers for the main course. Yummm!!
