What a great site!

I became aware of, and quickly addicted to, the Fodor Forum only this past summer, in the process of planning a trip to Nova Scotia and Newfoundland--two great places, by the way. I returned to the site again a few days ago, while planning a trip to Belgium, where I'll stay with an American-born friend and his Belgium family in Ghent; then four days in Amsterdam and four in Paris. I'm always amazed at, and the beneficiary of, the quality of the responses on Fodor's, which really means the quality of the people. So thanks to all who take the time to reply--and time it takes to compose your thoughtful replies. I had scores of questions about Amsterdam, but no longer. Best for the holidays and, like many before me, I'm excited about my first trip there--and my bet is surely not my last.

Happyfella:
My sentiments exactly! This site has been tremendously helpful with my somewhat limited trip planning/research, as well providing nourishing vicarious dream travel during periods of ill health that have kept me home bound. I have bookmarked hotels and informational sites for future travels from so many of the generous Fodorites that are willing to share their experiences, whether in trip reports or recommendations. I am one very happy and appreciative Fodor Fan of all you many loyal contributors to this site.
