Wengen and Grindelwald with a toddler
Hi,
We plan on staying in Wengen for 3 nights and in Grindelwald for another 3.
We are traveling with a 1.5 year old and would like to know of beautiful areas that we can visit via public transport + short walk/hike. If the walk is long, a stroller friendly path would be preferable.
We've been to the Bernese Oberlands before and stayed at Interlaken and Murren the last time. We've already seen Jungfraujoch and don't plan on going there this time around.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Don't worry, there are tons of mountain railways, lifts and buses, as
Grindelwald - Kleine Scheidegg
Grindelwald - Maennlichen
Grindelwald - Pfingstegg
Grindelwald - First
Grindelwald - Grosse Scheidegg
Grindelwald - Waldspitz
Grindelwald - Bussalp
Wengen - Kleine Scheidegg
Wengen - Maennlichen
Many trails like
First (gondola stop)) - Grosse Scheidegg (bus stop)
First (gondola stop) - Schreckfeld - Bort (gondola stop) - Nodhalten (bus stop)
Bussalp (bus stop) - Rasthuesi (bus stop) - Nodhalten (bus stop)
Kleine Scheidegg (railway station)- Wengernalp (railway station) - Wengen
Wengernalp - Mettlenalp - Wengen
Wengen - Spaetenenalp
Alpiglen (railway station) - Brandegg (railway station) - Grindelwald
Maennlichen (gondola stop) - Itramen (bus stop)
etc. etc.
can easily be done with a troller
(many others too, according to the kind of troller and to the pysical condition of the parents)
The only problem may be the weather in this rather rainy area

Personally with young children i would not move from Wengen to Grindelwald, spend the time in one place. it's easy to get from one to the other by train, and you will lose at least half a day in moving from one to the other. You have plenty to choose from in the previous post. I'll just add one place your little one will enjoy, Ballenberg the Open Air Museum near Brienz, it's easily accessible bt puiblic transport and walkable with a stroller. There are lots of animals and interesting things to see.
