I have never been there, but I am going on September 9. All the raves on this forum convinced me. This post will bring it to the top, so maybe someone will have info for you.

Hi Wengenlover,

It would help us if we knew what you already did -- and would like to repeat or would not like to repeat. It would also help if we knew what kinds of things you would be interested in -- challenging hikes, gentle walks, adventure sports, excursions, folklore, etc.

Unfortunately, I usually ski in the area so can't give any specific advice. But one place to start would be this site

www.myjungfrau.ch

and look under the "Summer Activities" tab.

Have fun!

Thanks ..... We have done a bunch of things as we have been there 3 times already...We get the Regional BO pass and train, boat ride and gondola ride around the area... We've been to First, Kleine Sheidegg, Jungfraujoch, Interlaken, Brienz, Mannlichen, Grindelwald, Muerren,Boningen, Isetwald, Thun and other places -- Forgive my spelling errors. We hike around the area as well... Love Egli, Bratwurst, Zweibel sauce, rosti,Swiss wine, beer and pastries.... It's a wonderful place.... Heaven on earth for us....

We discovered some new hikes from Wengen on our last visit (new to us anyway).

Staubbachbankli, which begins near the Hotel Baren - a lovely walk which meanders past chalets and through the countryside, ending on a ledge overlooking the Staubbach Falls and the valley below. This walk came as a huge surprise as we’d never seen this part of Wengen before, and we were absolutely enthralled with the views – we could even seen Murren perched up on the mountain terrace across the way – fantastic!

Leiterhorn - The path begins near the Hotel Jungfraublick and steeply climbs to the woods, then winds through forest and meadow. It ends at a viewpoint overlooking the Lauterbrunnen valley and Interlaken, and the views from up here are pretty incredible.

And an old favorite:

Hunnenfluh, which begins near the Hotel Belvedere. This is an easy walk for the most part, but it does get a wee bit steep towards the end. Fabulous views of the valley, Wilderswil and Interlaken.
